CHARLESTON, WV
- Gov. Jim Justice has issued an executive order declaring that Friday afternoon, December 22, 2017, will be an official holiday for all public employees of the state.
State employees may be excused from their work duties on that afternoon for four hours without charge against accrued annual leave.
“In recognition of the hard work accomplished by the public employees of this state during 2017, and in acknowledgement of the holiday season, I am granting them this time off to spend an extended and enjoyable holiday with their loved ones,” Gov. Justice proclaimed.
